A FULFILLED MARRIAGE

Memorize: Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Genesis. 1:24

Devotional Reading: Genesis 1:20-24

One of God’s expectations for all married couples is to have a fulfiled marriage. A godly and gloriously family is a major sign of fulfilment in marriage, it is part of your heritage in Christ Jesus. God established marriage for the purpose of making life good for man and the woman. Marriage is not a “necessary evil” as many have come to conclude, based on their personal experiences or observations of other relationships. Marriage is honourable and glorious as seen in Hebrews. 13:4. Your wife cannot be the worst person in life, neither can your husband be the devil you claimed he is. Whatever is not good in your marriage or family is a direct manifestation of the works of the devil which may be due to your ignorance or disobedience to the Holy Spirit or lack of enough prayer. To experience a fulfiled marriage, Christ must be at the center of your marriage and the Holy Spirit must be your guide and companion.

After God created the heavens and earth, including the institution of marriage, God affirmed that it was “very good”. He cannot, therefore, be the one behind your family crises. Satan is the enemy of everything good, and he is particularly envious of Godly marriages. He goes about perverting it and causing havoc in homes, he does this to hinder man’s divinely ordained dominion on earth. I pray that your home will not be a prey to the devil, rather, it will continue to experience the power of God and enjoy victory in Jesus name.

A fulfiled family is a family that honour God in everything they do, they raise their children in the knowledge and fear of God. The husband and wife love each other, not only do they enjoy love, peace and joy from each other, their children obey and honour them, the children raised in a fulfiled marriage are children that give the parents peace, they are joy to the nations and blessing to our churches. Children from fulfiled marriages are not sources of concern to their parents or the society. The bible says “blessed is the man that feareth the Lord that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Psalms 112:1-2. The mind of God for all families is that they will be fruitful and be fulfilled. It will interest you to note this “the first blessing that came out from the mouth of God in blessing man was – be fruitful” Genesis.1:27-28. God made man with a command to be fruitful and multiply and not to be barren. God had seen the potential and ability to be fruitful in man before blessing man to be fruitful.

I pray for all those who are married without children, but have been faithful and trusting God for the fruitof the womb, at the sound of the name Jesus, I command that womb to open right now and be fruitful, I command the hand of the strong man holding your womb to wither and dry up in the name of Jesus, any form of unfruitfulness in your life or marriage is hereby terminated today by the power and authority through the blood of Jesus that was shed at Calvary.

Barrenness does not profit or glorify God, neither is He the one behind your unfruitfulness. God cannot be pulling down what He has built. He has not changed His mind about you having quality family life. I decree concerning every family that is going through difficulties and challenges, I speak peace and reconciliation into your marriages and homes. By the power and anointing of Jesus, I hereby break every demonic chains around your marriage, from today, your marriage and family will experience fulfilment.

May the almighty God give you a glorious and fulfilled marriage and family in Jesus name.

Prayer point: O LORD, please let my marriage and family be fulfilled in Jesus name.

Key Dose: God delights greatly in the joy and fulfilment of all marriages.
