Devotional Reading: Titus 2:1-15
As a believer, once you give your life to Christ, you are given a new name, the bible says old things are passed away, all things have become new, you also carry power and dominion. The victory of Christ on the cross at Calvary has fully absolves you of defeat from the enemy. This means you should go through life’s battles as a victor & conqueror not a victim. Luke 10:19 tells us that Christ has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, furthermore, it says nothing shall by any means hurt you, this include principalities, spiritual wickedness in high places and every form of demonic forces and evil powers, you have power over them as long as you are redeemed by the blood of Jesus and remain in Christ. This is amazing, there is full assurance that your victory is guaranteed. I want you to Know that you have been empowered to have dominion over satanic forces, and to triumph over all evil powers when you are in Christ Jesus.
However, it is still possible to remain under Satan’s manipulation due to lack of knowledge, if you refuse to activate the power of God in your life or to exercise Christ authority in you. In Genesis 1:26-27 we learnt that God created man to rule and have dominion but Adam lost this to Satan when he disobeyed God. Because God loves us, He restored us back to His dominion power through his son Jesus Christ when Christ died on the cross at Calvary. The triune Godhead resides in you, you become an embodiment of power and authority. At this point, signs and wonders begin to freely manifest in your life because you have become a carrier of God’s great power and authority Mark 16:17-18
God expects you to activate and use His power in you over principalities and evil powers, over the devil and his cohorts, over unpleasant situations and challenges that confront you. One of the effective ways to exercise your dominance is on your knees. In Daniel 6:10, Daniel was faced with death, he knelt down and prayed, the power of God was activated in Daniel to frustrate the plans of his enemies. When you go on your knees before God, you stand tall among men. On your knees, you can rename problems or challenges that has ridiculed you. As a redeemed child of God, you can pray for the sick and they are healed, you can cast out demons, you can raise the dead, your shadow can perform unimaginable miracles, you are no longer an ordinary mortal man, you are now sons and daughters of God with great power.
Another way to activate and excercise power over principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places is to live a Holy life not in words but in deed as a lifestyle. Holiness is a strong weapon against principalities & demonic powers. Daniel lived holy and was found faultless at his time. In Daniel 6:4. If you want to have dominion in this world, live soberly, righteously and godly in your lifetime, you will become a threat to Satan and his angels. Find out what God says about you and be quick to repent if you committed sin, be sensitive to those around you, have positive impact on your environment, let your life preach Christ and his holiness 2 Corinthians. 13:5.
Some of the challenges we have today in the body of Christ is that many believers love to have and use the power of God, they love to excercise dominion, but they are not prepared to pay the full price for it, remember the 7 sons of sceva in Acts 19:11-20; they tried to excercise believers power and dominion which they were not entitled, but met with serious disappointment, such will not be your portion in Jesus name.
I pray for you that from today, principalities & spiritual wickedness will no longer harass or toment you, rather, they will bow to you, everything in your life causing you pain, I terminate them today, from now henceforth, you will never be tormented or defeated by evil powers, you will live and reign under the influence of Christ power, authority and dominion in Jesus name Amen.
Prayer point: O LORD, please help me live and reign under the influence of your power, authority and dominion in Jesus name.
Key Dose: Implicit obedience to the word of God activates the power, authority and dominion of Christ in the life of man.
