Memorize : For he saith, i have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have i succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation: 2 Corinthians 6:2.
Devotional Reading: Revelation 12: 1 – 17
It has become a common phenomenal, especially amongst people of our generation to procrastinate, over the years i have heard people push forward the day of stepping into their, purposes, dreams or visions, or the day of their salvation, they hide under false belief that it is not the right time. They want to wait for a time when it is convenient. With regards their spiritual life, some want to first enjoy life and what the world can offer them before accepting Christ into their lives. Many have continued in this attitude to the point where they are now indifferent and no longer sensitive to the signs and warnings around them about the end time.
The devil is a mastermind, he knows his game very well, while causing distractions for many; he made them procrastinate about giving their lives to Christ, Satan doubled his effort knowing that he has a very little time, the devil is determined to take as many people as possible with him to Hell fire; we must be wise.
In athletics, there are games that are played for a set number of minutes, like basketball and football, the closer the clock gets to the final seconds, the more intense the play becomes. In fact, coaches practice plays to use when time has almost expired. Immediately increases intensity in athletics, same in spiritual warfare.
The world may never have been in more dire strait than now. Revelation 12:12 tells us that the devil “knows that he has (but) a short time” left to disrupt God’s plans on earth.
It should come as no surprise that the closer we get to the end of the age and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the more Satan will increase his activities. Wars, discord, disease, strife, immorality, and more, these are the works of Satan.
But what Jesus started when He came the first time, destroying the works of the devil, will be concluded when He comes again.
The great hope of the Christian is that one day we will be free from the attacks of God’s enemy. Satan knows the clock is ticking and that he will one day be removed forever, Revelation 20:10.
If you have not giving your life to Christ, don’t procrastinate anymore, today is the day of Salvation; tomorrow may be too late. May the LORD help you in Jesus name.
Prayer point: Father, please help me stop procrastinating; give me the grace to make wise decisions now in Jesus name.
Key Does: Tomorrow is uncertain; so, use today wisely.
