DEPART FROM THAT ADDICTION

Memorize: Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD. Isaiah. 52:11

Addiction is a compulsive tendency developed over a period of continuous and repeated actions or exposures to a certain substance. It is a bondage. It can result in loss of will power and self-esteem, loss of or shift In focus, social and emotional disconnect, poverty, death, etc. There are so many evil that the enemy has injected into the society today which is capable of destroying the soul, spirit and body.

In the society today, you see substances such as: cocaine, opioids-heroine, amplictamies, benzoic, diazepam’s alcohol, cigarette, tobacco, marijuana, nicotine, caffeine-coffee, shisha and the like being consumed. Some started with the feeling to taste it and from there become addicted. All these could harm and defile or destroy a vessel. Bible told us that “our body is a temple of God” so it’s a vessel that God uses. Addiction has families and behavioral attitude that can ruin a destiny. Gambling, sexual activity (masturbation, sex, pornography), stealing and robbery, cultism and more are activities that addiction can lead anyone into. I pray for anyone under the influence of any of these, my God will bring you out in Jesus name.

Jesus wants to save you, but are you ready to come out?. If you don’t acknowledge that addiction is an affliction and you are already caught in the web, you might not be able to come out. You must first acknowledge it and be willing to break free from the bondage. Then seek help from God and people who can be of help in breaking the evil habit. Surrender yourself for proper screening and therapies pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy and spiritual therapy. You also should avoid relapse because relapse episode is usually worse than before the treatment. You must avoid all forms of triggers, keep company of those who can encourage you in your journey to total victory and keep your heart will all diligence. Prov. 4:23 and renew it daily because addiction is really a battle of the mind.

Withdrawal from addiction often comes with a myriad of challenges usually referred to as withdrawal syndrome. It is incumbent on the person not to cast away, Ps. 38:11 the victim at this critical time but to show him or her love and encouragement until the victory is won. I will like you to know by the grace of God I will be praying for you, the bible says confess your sins to one another, if you are a victim of addiction, I encourage you confess your sin and let God help you come out, through the grace of God.

Father, let your love spring into the hearts of those who are caught in the web of addiction and set them free today in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Remember that Jesus loves you and died for you, what then can he not do for your sake? May the love of God reconnect you back to God today and free you from your addictions IJN.

Prayer point: Strong deliverer, deliver me from all forms of addictions in Jesus name.
