EQUALITY UNDER GOD

Memorize:  Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters; Ezekiel 16:52

Devotional Reading: Ezekiel 16:44-52

With man there is a tendency of preferential treatment or partiality in judgement. With man, we find favouritism, hypocrisy and miscarriage of justice in favour of the rich, wealthy and influential, at the expense of the working class.

However, with God there is no such tendency or possibility of partiality or miscarriage of justice in judgment. God is always faithful and just, He gives the right judgement to every man according to their works. From the text, we can see that God’s people at this time, had given themselves over to iniquity and evil deeds, which were more in proportion to the iniquity of Sodom and Gomorah, also with Samaria. God is impartial and would not overlook the sin of the unrepentant, judgment came upon them. From here, we learn that to sin with impunity is dangerous.

No child of God should take God or His word for granted. If God did not spare sin in the sinner or sinful nations who failed to repent, neither will He overlook sin in the believer or righteous nation who departs from righteousness and lives in hardness of heart. Romans 11:21; For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. The right thing to do when sin comes in is to repent immediately and genuinely. God is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and be saved”. It is dangerous to live in sin. Sin is a monster and destroyer of great destinies. Repent and live or refuse to repent and perish. It is even more damning to think that God will wink at sin. He never does! Instead, God punishes unrepentant sinners.
Rev 22:12; And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

My prayer for you is that the voice of “depart from me” will not echo at you on the last day, rather, you will hear “welcome, thou faithful servant, enter into the joy of thy Lord” I pray that God will help you and I to make the rapture when it happens, which will be very soon, in Jesus name.

Prayer point: Father, please grant me the grace to make Heaven at the end of my life in Jesus name.

Key Dose: There is no mercy in judgement, there is equality with God!
