Memorise: Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and i ordained thee a prophet unto the nations; Jeremiah 1:5
Devotional Reading: Jeremiah 1:4-19
From our memory verse of today, God said He knew you even before you were formed in your mother’s womb, He had decided his plans for you which according to the book of Jeremiah 29:11; are good plans, thoughts of peace and not of evil, so why would anyone think they can improve and make better what God have made. If you look around you today, many people are changing their complexion, some are changing the shape of their nose, some are changing the sex they belong.
It is an insult against God; those indulging in things like this are saying in a way that God is not competent enough, so they want to improve on what God has done because He has not done it well. We must remember that God made us in His own image after His likeness according to Genesis 1:26 & 27.
God has your formation and your blue print; he knows why he made you who you are.
No man, or science, has your blueprint. Only God does. God knew you before anyone could think of bringing you into this world, and designed you for a purpose. Daniel.2:21 says “And He changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding”
There was a young man who went to school and could not make it, finally, he ended up in a technical school and learnt how to fly a plane. A certain man of God bought an airplane and needed a pilot, this young man applied for the job and got it. He was quite satisfied, then one day, the man of God had just finished preaching, and those that wanted to be prayed for were so many that he couldn’t do it alone, so he beckoned on his pilot to assist him. The young man assited him and miracles began to happen. Today, that young pilot is now a renowned worldwide evangelist with great annointing, whenever he shares the story, he would say, if he had been very brilliant, he would have ended up being a university professor, but God had a plan for him. Today, he is bringing blesings to millions around the world. He started from technical school, then progressed as a pilot but today he is a global evangelist.
Don’t ever condemn your being, or compare yourself with another, rather be thankful daily to God because He knew why He made you who you are, He didn’t make a mistake. If God wanted you to have a broad nose and pink lips He would have made it so, if He wanted you to be man and not a woman, He would have made you so. So, when you see somebody much stronger, beautiful, taller, shorter than yourself, just glorify God. It is often said that it is not lack of food that has made a cat smaller than a dog, it was God who limited the size of the cat for a reason. Whatever you are today and wherever you are today, know that God has a purpose for you, all you need to do, is ask the Father to make known unto you His purpose and His plan for your life and walk according to His plan and purpose for you.
I pray that God will help you appreciate who He has made you to be and not complain about what you feel you have not become.
Prayer point: Father, help me fulfil my purpose in life and accomplish my destiny in Jesus name.
Key Dose: Remember that Godliness with contentment is great gain. Be content in God!
