Devotional Reading: Luke 17:1-10
Faith is the vehicle that takes us to the throne of God. Reliance on physical objects such as ‘holy’ water, candles, oil etc. will not only hinder but also destroy your miracle. It is not the oil, not the anointing on God’s anointed that delivers the miracle, whether oil is used or not, if you excercise strong faith in God, He will come through for you. Use the force of faith in God’s word and His ability not the physical symbols which can be very limited. You can receive more from God if you grow and enlarge the capacity of your faith in God.
Some people hinder their ability to receive from God because they desire special attention simply because they feel important, this was the case with Naaman. In 2 kings 5:11-13, Naaman expected Elisha to come out and specially attend to him, after all, he was a general in the Syrian army, don’t feel too big in your own eyes, learn to humble yourself before God and trust Him. There are some people who, whenever they are sick and are being attended to by the health practitioner, never believe they are well until they are given some pills to swallow, or are injected. It does not matter even whether they are given chalk to swallow or water in a syringe, they will begin to feel well, this is purely psychological.
Some Christians are in similar category, they will not believe that their problems have been solved until after several days of fasting and prayer. For some, until hands are laid on them, God has not answered. That was part of Naaman’s expectations. For others, even when hands are laid on them, they do not believe anything has happened until they fall under the anointing.
Those operating at that level are manifesting signs of spiritual childhood and a limited faith. Your focus should be in God, not on the object or man. If you have been at that level, you do not have to remain there, you must grow and enlarge your faith. Some people attended a spirit filled revival service, after all the powerful prayers, they fail to believe that God has answered until hands are laid on them. The Lord wants you to redefine and grow in faith, have faith in God, let your faith in God be enlarged, If the word was enough for the centurion in Matthew 8, the word should be enough for you too today. Release and exercise your faith in God! Romans 1:17 says the just shall ljve by faith. Without faith, you cannot please God Hebrews.11:16. God has prepared for those who have faith in Him a better city. Believe Gods promises in the Bible. Stand on them and it shall be so for you in Jesus name. Are you delaying your miracle by expecting some special treatment to precede your blessing? Hang your faith totally on God, develop an enlarged faith that has no limitations and you will receive your miracle today in Jesus name.
May the Lord strenghteen and increase your faith to the level where your faith is enlarged, then you will receive your miracles with ease in the name of Jesus.
Whatever God has promised, He is more than able to fulfil, it is all in your hands, develop a strong faith and enlarge it to a capacity that nothing can stop your miracle, it is well with you in Jesus name.
Prayer point: O LORD, please increase and enlarge my faith in Jesus name
