Devotional Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:1-11
In the Bible reading of today, we note the terrible things that man is capable of doing, apostle Paul unequivocally said that those who do those things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. However, he wrote: “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” – 1 Corinthians 6:11
Our Lord Jesus Christ was speaking to Nicodemus about new life when He said to him: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Being born of water and of the Spirit brings about new life through divine transformation. The mystery of new birth cannot be explained by human reasoning except through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. For example, in the epistle of John, 1 John 3:8-9 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” –
God’s kind of transformation is a kind that cannot be compared with any form of transformation. When God transforms a man, he gives a brand new life, the old life is completely removed. In 2 Cor.5:7 bible told us of the life a man that has been transformed will have. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” God’s transformation is a type that anyone should desire, other religion cannot promise you such a new transformed life.
The moment God transforms a man, He doesn’t remember his/her past sins again, He sees such a person as a new creature, old things are passed away and forgotten. Have you gone deep into sin, probably the devil has told you that you can’t have a new life again, I am here to tell you that Jesus can give you a new life, all you need do is confess your sins and renounce them, ask Jesus to come into your heart and you will obtain a new life.
There are two main medium for experiencing divine transformation: the first is genuine repentance; when a man voluntarily submit his will to God in obedience. The other one is the power in the blood of Jesus Christ; the blood of the new covenant is much more superior than the blood of bull (Hebrews 10:4).
To experience New Life, you need to have relationship with God through Christ Jesus, He is the answer.
I pray for you today, that Christ will give you a new life.
