HE HAS THE LAST SAY

Memorize:“ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

Devotional Reading: Hebrews 2: 6-18

I love the way the book of Lamentations 3:37 put in form of a question; the finality of God, “Who is he that says, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commanded it not? This is a giant question which we all know that there is none, the almighty God has the last say. Whatever challenges or difficulty situations may be confronting you, I want to assure you this morning, that man does not have the last say over your life or your family, God has the last say.

Sometimes like Peter and Aeneas, we don’t know when God is about to do something spectacular in our life, whether we understand the purpose why God is sending us on the assignment or not, the best we can do for ourselves is just obey. According to our scripture passage, God had Aeneas in mind, but he never knew. Both Peter and Aeneas must have thought they were going about their normal daily routine, but little did they know that God was up to something unusual. Do you know what God is about to do for you, your family or ministry too? People around you may have ideas or make suggestions to you about your life or the assignment that God has sent you to do, be careful and pray before dancing to the suggestions or ideas of men, remember that God has the last say.

Peter had to travel a distance in order to meet Aeneas, there is a possibility that as you are reading this devotional, your helpers are on their way to meet with you and neither you nor them may be aware of it, this is real for someone reading this devotional.

The fact that Peter had to travel to meet Aeneas which he never had a clue or prior knowledge about, makes a breath-taking testimony for Aeneas. Apart from being healed of his palsy, the encounter he had with Peter boosted his self-confidence and increased his faith after getting to grips with the fact that Peter had to travel to find him. What is that thing you are going through that has crippled you or negatively affecting your confidence and trust in God? I want to encourage you not to fret, look beyond those challenges and trust God, I strongly believe He is up to something good in your life, business, family or ministry in Jesus name.

If you read further in Vs 36-43 an instresting story of a woman named Dorcas, who was sick and died, she was about to be buried when some disciples heard that Peter was in the next village, they went for him and through the hand of God upon him, Dorcas was restored back to life by the power of prayer coupled with faith which tells us that even in death God has the last say.

I am sure you know that prior to this time nobody knew Peter was coming, neither did he know he was going to raise a dead person, that is why I strongly believe for you, your family, your business and your ministry, that God is about to do an unexpected extra ordinary miracle in your life, family; business or ministry this season in the mighty name of Jesus. Just watch out for what God is about to do and be ready to key into it. He is about to give you a pleasant surprise because He has the last say.

Keep your faith alive, trust him and you will see God come through for you like he did for the three Hebrew boys in Jesus name.

Prayer point: Father, you have the last say, please speak unexpected extra ordinary miracles in my life today, in Jesus name.

Key Dose: Connect your faith to this belief, that it is not over until God comes through for you.
