Devotional Reading: Romans 8:18-39

The journey of life can sometimes be very challenging especially with believers, it can be a roller coaster experience. some good days, some not so good days. Generally, life can be full of complications and uncertainties – difficult and problematic, we are sometimes faced with assignments we would like to avoid. We often assume the worst when facing conditions like these. We tend to overflow with dread when facing challenges.
But Paul learned that God is with us even in the midst of most troublesome situations. Regardless of how things appear, we can trust God and be confident that He is working everything together for our good according to our memorize. God is a master planner and a master fixer, even when we don’t understand what He is doing, if we trust Him, it will end in testimony.
This wasn’t a theory but something Paul knew from experience. He had witnessed God’s sovereignty through many kinds of experiences.
He had been in jail, “faced death again and again.” He had been beaten, stoned, and experienced shipwrecked, and confronted countless dangers; 2 Corinthians 11:23-27.
Yet he knew that he could trust God even during situations that seemed dangerous and hopeless. Paul knew how to trust God in the face of fear and peril, he learnt how to build hope in a hopeless situation, all of these experiences work together for his good, he became a better person with deeper experiences of life and stronger faith in God as an Apostle of Christ.
That same promise is true for you, everything will work together for your good. No matter what you go through, the Bible urges you to trust God. Not to give in to negative thinking or feel defeated. No matter how things appear on the surface, be positive, confident, and filled with faith, believe that God will work things out and come through for you.
What are you facing today? Don’t allow your heart to be troubled, or be dominated by fear or worry, and don’t be discouraged. Confess the Bible’s promises and stand on God’s Word.
Don’t give in to appearances, imaginations or expect defeat, no matter what you go through, thank God for His faithfulness. Trust Him, have faith that He is working everything together for your good.
I pray that all things will work together for your good this year 2022 and beyond in Jesus name.
Prayer point: O LORD my father, please let all things work together for my good in Jesus name.
