KNOW YOUR ASSIGNMENT

Memorize : But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches; 1 Corinthians 7:17

Devotional Reading: Numbers 4:1-20

There is no accident with your existence and with the existence of everyone that comes into this world. Each one of us was born with a purpose, there is an assignment that we have all come to accomplish, and we cannot accomplish our purpose and assignment unless we first identify and know it. In our devotional reading of today, the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers; Numbers 4:1&2;

In the wilderness, each Israelite was given an assignment. No one was left out. Every task was important. The future of the entire community and the church depended upon each person doing the assigned job.

As they traveled, some had specific responsibilities for tearing down or setting up the tent was distributed to different people according to God’s instructions. Some were assigned to carry specific items while others were assigned to do different thing. All the while together they watched out for danger to protect the work.

As they journey along obeying God’s commandments, they found the food and water they needed.

It is the same today in the body of Christ.The church of Christ operates in the same way; each person is unique in God’s sight. Each of us is assigned individual tasks, called to fulfill specific functions and purpose, we are all given unique gifts and talents to accomplish these tasks, and there is room for everyone. No one is left out if you are willing, God is not looking for the perfect vessels to use, He is looking for the willing vessels.

Therefore, we should be humble and grateful for the privilege to be used of God. We must all understand God’s plans and purposes and so acknowledge that each of us is special to God.

It also helps us answer the fundamental questions of life: Why do I exist? Many people are living without knowiing their purpose in life or their assignment. Some people ask these questions; What is my purpose? How can I find meaning or understand it?

The answer to these questions is remarkably simple: Your greatest purpose in life is to know God and to bring Him glory. Whatever you do.or achieve in life, God must be glorified. Also, your purpose or assignment in life is to Serve Him. Submit your life to Him. Follow His plan. Seek His will and direction. Trust Him to give your life fulfillment.

Learn what tasks You have been assigned. Discover and apply the unique gifts God has given you. Spend your life focused on fulfilling your personal calling. As you are faithful, celebrate the fact that He loves you and knows you by name.

I pray that the LORD will be glorified in your life and help you live a life of fulfilment that brings honour and glory to God in Jesus name

Prayers point : Father, please help me identify and fulfil my assignment in life in Jesus name.

Key Dose: Don’t try to be someone else, be yourself.
