Devotional Reading: Matthew 25:14-30
A purpose driven life is one that sets out to identify and fulfil the purpose of existence. Ignorance of your purpose of existence can make you waste Heaven’s allocated resources. Events, situations, circumstances, tests and trials come to you according to the purpose of your existence. Romans. 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose”
God created us in His image for His own purpose and one of the purposes is to Worship Him. Worship is our first responsibility to God, Rev. 4:11 says ” Thou are worthy, O Lord to receive glory and Honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” God created us for His own pleasure and if we don’t recognize this purpose, our life has no meaning.
Another purpose is to Love our neighbours, especially members of the household of faith. Apostle Paul in Hebrews 13:1; admonishes us – “Let brotherly love continue” when you are born again, there’s a transition from the world’s family into God’s family and in God’s family love is the order of the day, “Christian Love” In Matthew 22:37-40; Jesus set out the two greatest commandments; “Love the LORD thy God, and Love your neighbour”
following Christ is not just a matter of believing alone but also includes belonging and learning to love the family of God. 1 John 3:14, Romans 15:7
God loved us from the beginning and He continued to love us, that was why He gave His only son Jesus for a ransom for our sin. John 3:16; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. If God can demonstrate such degree of love, He is saying we should also replicate the love unto others, especially to our fellow believers, whatever gifts or talents God has deposited in you is not to benefit you alone but everyone around you, just as others were given abilities for one another. We were not blessed to be called blessed for ourselves, but blessing others is the reason why we are blessed. 1 Peter 4:10-11
God does not want you to keep His love and purpose secret, so another purpose is to tell others about the saving grace of Christ and His love for mankind. If anyone neglect his/her primary purpose for secondary, on the last day, they will explain how it went and some might be cast into the lake of fire for not fulfilling their primary purpose. Matt. 25:1-13 may you not be cast away on the last day in Jesus name.
I pray for you today, that the power of God will help you fulfil your purpose in life and accomplish your destiny in the name of Jesus.
Prayer: Father, give me grace to live a purposeful life and accomplish my good destiny IJMN.
