Heaven is a place of beauty too wonderful to describe. It is a place of great joy, a place of holiness and impeccable glory. It is a place that nobody want to miss. 1 Corinthians 2:9; said – Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,…. No place on earth can be compared with Heaven. But not everyone will enter into heaven because it is a place of holiness and only those that are genuinely born again and living life of holiness will enter in. 1 Thessalonians 4:3
There are many reasons why a believer might not enter into Heaven even after being born again. Some of these reasons are: Laziness and prayerlessness. Another reason is the love of the world 1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever”
Lack of love for God and our neighbours, failure to abide in Christ or living according to his word. Disobedience, failure to obey and do the will of God is also another obstacle. Unbelief, unforgiving spirit. Wilfully causing others to fall, failure to bear fruits of the spirit as in Galatians 5:22-24 and many others can hinder any believer from entering into Heaven. I want to encourage you to stay close to God and watch your life everyday ensuring that you are still in the fold.
I pray for everyone using this devotional that you and I will not miss Heaven, everything that might be standing as obstacles to our making Heaven at the end, the Lord will remove them from your life and my life today in Jesus name. Heaven is a glorious place, a place for the overcomers. You cannot afford to miss it. Be willing to get rid of known sins that could prevent you from entering into heaven so that you can guarantee your mansion there at last.
May the Lord help you to make that decision today in Jesus name.
Prayer point: Father, please help me make Heaven my priority in Jesus name.
Key Dose: Strive vigorously to enter Heaven at last, Hell is not an option.
