MAKE RIGHT CHOICES

Memorize: For I know the thoughts that i think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end; Jeremiah 29:11

Devotional Reading: Jeremiah 29:1-11

As you continue in the journey of a new year 2020, It is mportant to make the right choices. The most difficult time to make right choices are especially in the middle of hurt, discouragement, frustration or confusion , when the right choice is the tough choice to make. When things are stressful, we naturally like to take the path of least resistance. But those are the very moments when making the right choice can make the greatest difference. Tough and right choices makes tough people, and tough people last, while tough situations does not last. To reap right results in life, you have to make right choices, which may be tough, even when you don’t feel like it.

What’s amazing to me is that Jesus knows what we feel. He came in human flesh, He struggled with all of the frustrations we struggled with, when He felt like giving up and taking the easy way, He overcame and made tough choices which gave us life and brought salvation to us. That is why the word is coming to you now that, you too can make those tough decisions, you can take that bold step, you can reconcil with your spouse, you can make that confession, you can right the wrong even though it may be a tough one, I know you have tried so many times to take that step, fear is always assaling you, as you continue your journey this new year, be determined and make it your priority to make right choices even when it is a tough one to make, i pray that you receive strength and courage to make those tough decisions and right choices in Jesus name. You must work hard and make a difference this new year by doing things differently but in the right way. You cannot expect new results if you are doing things the same old way. The Lord will help you to make those needful tough decisions in Jesus name.

When we grow weary and falter in our determination, we can be sure with confidence that we serve a God who knows what we’re going through. He is willing to help us and give us His grace so we don’t have to make tough decisions on our own. The Bible says “come unto me all ye that labour and with heavy loads of tough decisions to make and I will give you rest” (paraphrased) When you find yourself stressed-out or on the verge of giving up, remember that God is with you, He understands your situation. His thoughts for you are thoughts of good, to guide you safely and take you to an expected end. Receive divine strenght to make those tough and right choices in Jesus name. May the Lord favour you at your crossroads of making tough decisions and give you testimonies of victory for his own glory in Jesus name.

Prayer point: O LORD my God, guide my decision making process this year and help me make right choices in Jesus name.

Key Dose: One of the signs of a good leader is ability to make tough but right choices even when it is not convenient.
