Devotional Reading: Psalm 121:1-8
There is a promise of protection for every born again Christian. God said in our devotional reading today “I will protect thy going out and coming in” it is a promise you should hold onto all the time, He said further that “even for evermore” which means no devil can terminate your life because God has put a plan in place to shield you and side track all Satan’s plan. By redemption you have a heritage of protection, you were saved and raised up and made to sit together with Christ in heavenly places. Eph. 1:21 says you are far above the arrows of witches and wizards. Your new birth experience also translates you into the kingdom of His dear son. Col.1:13
As you drive and walk around town, be conscious of the fact that God’s protection is over you, no attack anywhere can come near you, no assault, molestation or harassments of the enemy can overcome you. I John 1:5 says “for whosoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith”. Be conscious of the fact that you are a child of God and the almighty God is your father, who promised that the sun will not smite thee by day nor the moon by night.
God said in Isaiah 43:2 “when thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee: and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee: when thou walketh through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” That is a powerful promise.
There is a guardian angel assigned to every child of God and the angel is charged with the responsibility to preserve and keep you from destruction. “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the pace which I have prepared” Exo. 23:20. The mission of the angel is to keep you in the journey of life, until He brings you to the place prepared for you.
Just as police aids assigned to a special dignitary cannot easily be stopped and over powered, because their duty is to protect the dignitary, they have been paid to protect him, likewise, the angels assigned to you have been commissioned to protect you, no forces can stop them and no opposition can stand in their way.
I decree over you and your family, that all through this year 2020, the protection of God will be upon you and your family in Jesus name.
Prayer point: Jesus; the shepherd of my life, please shield me and my family by your blood.
