Memorize : Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. Zechariah. 8:4

Devotional Reading: Zechariah 8:1-4;

Memorize: “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

The word of God is the manual of life, it contains the promises of God and instructions that we must follow if we will be fulfilled in life. Part of God’s promise for us in His the word is a declaration that death will lose its grip on both the young and the old. In Genesis 15:15, God said to Abraham “and thou shall go to thy fathers in peace; thou shall be buried in a good old age”. With all sense of boldness, assurance, confidence and trust in the word of God, I can tell you that there is no power in Heaven, on earth or underneath the earth that supersedes the power on God’s word. The power in the word of God is the greatest power that exist inside or outside the universe. Jesus is the word of God and he spoke himself in Matthew 28:18; “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”. The word of God is the finisimo of Power, that is – It is the place where all power in the universe and outside the universe ends. The Psalmist out of an unimaginable inspiration of the Holy Spirit, caught a revelation that is uncommon which reveals that, God magnify His word above all His name – Psalm 138:2; “I will worship in thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnify thy word above all thy name”. So, if the word of God which is the highest and greatest power promise you something and you believe it, you will surely receive it, Why? Matthew 24:35; tells us that “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away”

David died at a good old age in 1 Chronicles: 29:26-28 David reigned over all Israel for forty years, seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty-three years reigned he in Jerusalem. There is a provision for those that seek the Lord according to Psalms 34:10 “the young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Long life is a good thing to desire, if you therefore, desire it, God will give it to you, the key to it is keep seeking after God. It’s a choice, all I am doing is provide you with relevant information that will enhance your choice?

You are a covenant child. You are connected to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You are saved and washed by the blood of the lamb, so you’re connected to the Mosaic blessing. You also belong to the Joshua and Caleb generation; so long life is your heritage. You have a goodly heritage. I pray for you that death will not take you before your time in Jesus name. According to Psalms 118:17 you will fulfil your days in Jesus name.

Beloved, you have a choice in this matter. You can determine how long and how well you live. In the book of Acts, we see two men who were both faced with death; one died, but the other lived, by his choice. Acts 7:59-60 and Acts 14:19-20

I pray that God will help you believe the promise of long life in his word so that you can experience it in Jesus name.

May the LORD give you a pure heart today in Jesus name.

Prayer point: My father and my God, help me believe and experience the promises in your word in Jesus name.

Key Dose: Remember that you are a product of what you think and believe.
