Memorize : Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed; thou has guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation. Exodus. 15:13
Devotional Reading: Habakkuk 2:1-2
Memorize: “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
and the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2
Everyone that comes to this planet earth has an identity, your identity is who you really are, as much as your identity is important, you must also understand that to actualize your identity, you must pursue and fulfill your dreams. Dreams are like covered discovery of someone’s real identity, what you have discovered remains covered, until it is pursued, uncovered and fulfilled. The pursuit of your discovery is the relevant force you apply to make your dream and vision a realty. What you don’t pursue, you never possess! Don’t just sit down this year wishing God’s plans will find expression in your life, there is something you must do to make it a reality. Remember that life is a race, the only ones that win the prize are those who take a risk pursuing their purpose and living their dreams in life.
One of the pursuits you need to put on this year is determination. You can never be distinguished in life without strong determination. You must be determined not to let your endowment lie dormant. Many have made impact in life through determination, you too can. Remember Daniel, who purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the king’s meat, because he was determined to make impact in his time, he made it. Daniel 1:8.
There is this story about Lester Sumrall, when he was going to Australia as a missionary, he met a man in the cabin and from their discussion he told the man he was going for mission work in another country, the man told him he would die of hunger on his mission trip. Lester replied the man that if he die, they should write on his tombstone that “this was a man that died of hunger, while pursuing the course of the Lord. There are many other examples, both in the bible and our contemporary world, whose determination in the pursuit of their God’s given assignment will inspire you, find them and learn from them.
Discipline is another pursuit. If you are going to attain greatness this year, you must discipline yourself. Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians. 9:27 said “but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection… please make stringent effort to discipline yourself. Disciple is training which produces obedience or self-control. Don’t go to bed when you should be awake and thinking of better ways to do things better than last year that will enhance bigger worth. Don’t spend your income anyhow, have a sense of good financial management. There are some businessmen and women, who can never be outstanding in their business, because they lack self-control on how to manage their spending. If you lack control or obedience it means you are indiscipline. People that are disciplined are people with track records. May the Lord give you the ability to uncover yourself and pursue the vision or dream revealed to you in Jesus name.
Prayer point: O LORD my God, help me pursue and overtake my good dreams in life and live to fulfill them in Jesus name.
Key Dose: Be self motivated and driven towards your destiny goals, pursue your dreams
