REST IN SAFETY

Memorize : And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety. Job 11:18

Devotional Reading: Hebrews 13:1-15

Fear is a major issue that confronts most people, whether great or small we all experience it. Experiencing fear is not the problem, but giving into fear is the challenge. Research has shown that most people that died from an accident, or sickness, died because they allowed fear to subdue the situation. So many believers, great men and women of God have phobias, you must work on your phobia and develop strong faith in God that will help you conquer fear. Fear is a killer of destiny, fear has the power to cut short any life that allows it. Napoleon was crippled by Ailurophobia, an irrational fear of cats. Queen Elizabeth I was terrorised by Anthophobia, an abnormal fear of flowers, she particularly feared roses. Adolph Hitler suffered from Claustrophobia, even the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, grappled with Agoraphobia, a fear of crowds and public places. Currently, the new aggressive form of covid-19 variant has caused great fear to many people, creating anxiety to a lot of people.

The challenge is that many of us deny dealing with a kind of overwhelming fear, and rarely consider it a serious problem. But the fact remains that our fears hinder us. Unless we face them, we might not be able to reach our God given potential in life. Maybe you don’t view the thing that’s bothering you as fear at all. It could be a feeling or situation you habitually avoid, or leave to others to handle. Whatever it is, the only way to overcome it is to confront it, draw on God’s strength and make a decision to change. As this year 2021 is coming to an end, I pray for you that whatever fear you came into this year with, will surely end with this year, you are entering into 2022 with New Strength, Courage and spiritual vigour in Jesus name. God has made provision of this New Strength for you to overcome those things in your life that has hindered you thus far, enough is enough, from today, say NO to Fear, you will no longer be dominated or ruled by fear in the name of Jesus.

The bible says in Proverbs 28:1 that the righteous is as bold as a lion. I pray that from today, you will receive the spirit of boldness in the name of Jesus.

God is saying to someone today that “you can overcome your fears, don’t let the report of the doctor inject fear in you, don’t let anything put you under bondage of fear, God offers you strength to overcome it. Here’s a promise you can stand on, ” Isaiah 41:10 God said “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Fear torment, so you must discourage and reject it very strongly, fear is a destiny destroyer. It kills and destroys dreams, visions and destinies before due date, it is as bad as that.

I pray for you today, by the power that created and rule the universe, never again will fear dominate or have grip over you or your family in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Prayer point: O LORD, please replace my fears and worries with courage, faith and boldness in Jesus name.

Key Does: Fear has torment, but faith produces boldness that overcome fear. Have Faith.
