Devotional Reading: Matt. 5:1-16
I often hear people say, “knowledge is power” this is true. Hosea 4:6a; says My people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge. What separates successful from unsuccessful people is the volume and quality of information available to them. Few days ago, senior brother of a 1st class monarchs wife needed assistance in obtaining an important document, the quality information i gave him enabled him obtain the document far quicker and cheaper, he called me to show appreciation because he benefited from the power of information he received.
It is similar with kingdom matters, We need to have knowledge of God’s kingdom and the principle by which we can operate in it, once we do this, the following aspects of kingdom life will be evident in us.
Number one is PURPOSE Knowledge or revelation, of the kingdom will come first in our lives, producing an understanding of our God-given purposes. When the understanding of your being in the kingdom becomes clear to you, it will give birth to your God-given purpose. This principle was true in New Testament times, and it is still applicable today. Jesus said, “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” Matt. 6:33. You must find your purpose in life and live it.
Similar to the followers of Jesus in the first century, we currently live in a society that has become increasingly hostile towards the gospel it is full of wickedness, hatred and iniquity. Without knowledge of God’s word, divine direction and understanding of the nature of His kingdom, we will never be able to succeed in it. It will be difficult to find purpose. When others are doing their thing, you will also think it is your purpose. Whereas, your purpose may clearly be different from the purpose of another person regardless of your close relationship or association. The deeper you are in kingdom knowledge, the clearer your purpose becomes. The main reason God reveals our supernatural purposes is so that we may proclaim and expand His kingdom here on earth and this is the will of God for us.
My prayer for you today is that you will seek the kingdom of God over and above every other thing, this will lead to revelation and establishment of your own purpose in life, “kingdom knowledge, brings kingdom life”. may the Lord give you the wisdom to tap into this knowledge and take advantage of it in Jesus name.
Prayer point: O LORD, help me to seek your kingdom here on earth so that i can live kingdom life in Jesus name.
Key Dose: The more you seek the kingdom of God here on earth, the more God will open good doors and opportunities for you to live kingdom life.
