THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD

Memorize: And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, go not down into Egypt, dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of. Gen. 26:2

Devotional Reading: Gen. 26:1-13

One of the major attributes of God is the fact that He is faithful. From generation to generation, God has not changed, He has remained constant especially is His faithfulness. One of the areas that God expresses His faithfulness is through Divine Establishment, whatever God establishes, no man can pull it down. I pray for you this morning that God will establish the good works of your hands in Jesus name.

What is Establishment?

It is the act of establishing something that is in operation. Nothing gets established without a force, power or authority backing it up, that force, power or authority is the faithfulness of God. For instance you desire to set up a business, you cannot just wake up one morning and declare that your business is established if you have not set it up and start to operate it. The same way for evey believer, the journey to Divine Establishment through the faithfulness of God, start with giving your life to Christ, when you do that, you become adopted into the family of God and you become joint heir with Christ, therefore your success and achievements in life becomes the personal responsibility of God who is now your father, this is made possible due to God’s faithfulness, He can never and will never fail.

Give your life to Christ today and Whatever it is that you do, surrender it to God, He is more than able to make it good, and in due time, God will establish it. Believers are not failures in life, whatever your hand find to do will prosper, this is the covenant promise of God for us according to Psalm 1:3; “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water; that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”. This is the condition and story of someone who is established by grace and through God’s faithfulness.

I have come to realise that when God establish someone or a project, even if that person is in a strange land like Isaac, God will prosper such person and make his name very great, why? Because God through his grace and faithfulness has established him. In Genesis: 17:1-7 God said to Abram “I will make thee exceeding fruitful… and God did it. Zechariah 4:6; Then he answered and said unto me, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit saith the LORD of hosts.

From our devotional reading of today, we saw that Isaac prospered so much that the Philistines envied him. Remember it was during time of famine yet Isaac was waxing greater and greater. Isaac was able to accomplish such achievements because God divinely established him. God gave him instruction not to leave the land and he obeyed. Our obedience most times hasten our establishment when it comes to dealing with God. A lesson from there is that dont leave a place when God have not told you to leave, wait for God’s instructions before making a move, if you follow God’s leading, you can be sure that even in time of famine, He will rescue you and make a way for you.

God will establish you in whatsoever good things you are doing, He will make your ways prosperous as long as you are doing those things according to His will. What is required of you is – follow His leading and obey His instructions. My question for you today is “will you allow God lead you”? Many people struggle with God when it comes to making decisions, they like to lead the way themselves, but you must allow God to lead and make decisions for you

I pray for you today that God will help you to be patient, and to accept His leading, allow His grace and His faithfulness help, and establish.

Prayer point: Thou creator of the Universe, please establish the good works of my hands today and make me prosperous in Jesus name.

Key Dose: Except the LORD build the house, the labourers labour in vain.
