THE JUST SHALL RISE AGAIN

Memorize: For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief; Proverbs 24:16.

Devotional Reading: Psalm 91: 1 – 16

The human frailty of man has described him as fallible, often times when this happens, it brings disappointment, discouragement and sometimes loss of confidence which has resulted in some pulling back from their assignments. While some completely abandon the project, the attitude of purpose driven believers is different, their mentality is ” If they fall, they will rise up from the fall and press forward”, yes, we cannot do it on our own! We need the strenght of God, and it is available if we pray and ask for it.

The Bible is filled with heroes, but only one man was perfect, our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. All the other saints in the bible according to records and all saints of God in our time made mistakes, took detours, lost their way, faltered, failed, wandered, and sinned.

Abraham lied about Sarah. Noah got drunk. Moses lost his temper. Naomi traveled to Moab. David created scandals. Jonah ran away. Peter denied Christ. James and John squabbled about who was greatest. Even Paul admitted, “For that which I do I allow not: for what i would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I” Romans 7:15.

This is not to justify our fall, it is to show that we are human with imperfections, however, we must not tolerate spiritual failure in our lives. We shouldn’t hide under our human frailties and deliberately commit sin thinking that grace will abound, the bible says God forbids it – see Romans 6:1&2.

But on the other hand, when we mess up and fall short, we shouldn’t give up. Even when we wander away, God is there. We have a merciful God. He knows how to track us, draw us back, and help us rise from our fall. He has abundant power to help us repent, turn back to Him and grow from the experience. We should take it as learning curve to help us become better and help others so they don’t fall into the same error.

The Bible says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself” 2 Timothy 2:13.

There is no better means of progress in spiritual journey of life than to continually wash in the blood of Jesus and begin afresh….

If you’ve fallen out of grace, that is not the end to life; be willing and be determined to rise up, allow Jesus help you back up, for He alone is perfect.

May the LORD keep you from falling and give you the grace to stand and remain standing for God in Jesus name

Prayers point : O LORD my God, please save me from falling and help me stand for you in Jesus mighty name.

Key Dose: The blood of Jesus was shed to keep you from falling while His resurrection power is to help you stand.
