Memorize: The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are as bold as a lion Proverbs 28:1
Devotional Reading: Proverbs 28:1-28
Amongst many blessings that accrue to righteousness, is courage or boldness. On the contrary, fear dominates the heart of the wicked which is a result of sin.
Many people suffer from different forms of fear, phobia, anxiety, panic attack e.t.c, but the righteous is bold as lion.
Where there is no sin, there is no condemnation, but where sin rules, fear live.
Let’s take a look at some of the most common fears and how to overcome them. Fear of failure. This is most common fear of all and it keeps us from fulfilling any vision God may give us. If you take a keen look at the actual consequences of failure, chances are you’ll laugh at the power it wields. Not only are your mistakes survivable, they’re teaching tools that shapens and makes you a better person. So what if you make mistakes during your presentation? nobody’s going to shoot you, right? so what if you miss the mark on the project or make mistake in your calculations? would someone die? No. So why the fear in the first place.
In reality, your irrational fear of failure and refusal to embrace mistakes create far more errors in the long run. When a man fails that doesn’t make the man a failure, but quitting does, not learning from it does, refusing to get back when you fall does. A believer must have the mind of possibilities even in the midst of failure and what may appear impossible. Peter denied Jesus thrice because he was afraid, he could have lost his destiny but because he embraced his failure and accepted his flaws, he got back on his feet and this same man preached in a sermon and three thousand souls were added to the church.
Another common fear is: fear of not being good enough. It’s not about being as good as others; it’s about being yourself! stop comparing yourself to other people and instead spend time discovering your God’s given strengths. You were born for a purpose and that purpose may be anything you’ve ever encountered. Another fear is; fear of not being accepted. This is one of greatest sources of loneliness in our society today. Some people have the fear that people will not like them, therefore they withdraw, isolate themselves and keep wallowing in the fear. Whatever kind of fear you might be wearing, please listen to me there’s no fear anywhere that can stop you for as long as you are close to God. Fear is from the devil, and it has torment, it’s a prison and it can kill, but the righteous is as bold as a lion. The agenda of fear is to imprison people so that they will not be able to fuilfill their purpose and accomplish their destiny, that’s why I am praying for you by the power in the name of Jesus, that from today fear will not rule over you rather you will grow in righteousness and become as bold as a lion. I release you from any prison of fear because Christ has given you the spirit of power, boldness and sound mind, not bondage to fear.
Therefore, walk with courage in the liberty and boldness that Christ made for you through his shed blood at calvary, it shall continue to be well with you, your family, business and ministry in Jesus name.
Prayer point: Jesus, the lion of Judah, please impact your courage and boldness in me today.
Key Dose: Remember, boldness is a product of righteousness, and righteousness is a function of obedience to God’s word
