Memory Verse: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. 2 Cor. 10:3-4
Devotional Reading: 2 Corinthians 10:1-7
There are battles to fight in life, and majority of these battles are not physical, they are spiritual, only spiritual weapons can combat them, this goes to buttress the memorise for todays devotion, “the weapons of our welfare are not carnal”. We are fighting real battle and our enemy is Satan, we cannot see him or his cohorts with the physical eyes nor can we hold these enemies physically. So the weapons that we need to combat them are not weapons that we can see or hold but they are mighty through God.
Some of these weapons are prayer. Prayer is a force that the enemy cannot withstand it is invisible, unholdable, unstoppable, it cannot be destroyed. That is why it is highly dangerous for any believer to toy with prayer. Prayer is a weapon that the enemy bow to when it is put in action, especially when coupled with speaking in tongues, it confuses the enemy, they cannot understand what you are saying. I’ll like you to know that if the enemy succeeds in stopping you from praying, then they have succeeded in depriving you your victory. The power of a believer is in his ability to pray. I pray for you today, that you will never be a prey in the hand of the devil in Jesus name.
Another weapon is Faith. Two of the greatest weapons of our enemy are fear and unbelief. The devil uses these two weapons very often. But thanks be to Jesus who has given a weapon that can neutralize these weapons of the enemy. Heb. 11:6 says but without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Faith is our weapon of Warfare when the devil throws doubt at you, your response to him will be to act in Faith and do that which the devil says you cannot do. Most of the battles that God have helped me fight and overcome in life, business and ministry have been fought and won through Faith.
There is a level you will get to in life that the devil will just stay clear of your zone because they have tried you many times yet you keep responding with faith and prayer. I want to encourage someone today, get back and win that battle that the enemy threw at you. You aren’t a coward, you have a mighty God as your Father and He has given you potent weapons of warfare so use them, go and win and keep winning in Jesus name.
Prayer point: O LORD, increase my Faith and Prayer life in Jesus name.
Key Dose: Faith is the secret to greatness, especially when coupled with prayer.
