Devotional Reading : Acts 4:1-21
Christianity is not a religion, but rather a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ. In the book of Acts 11:27 the followers of Jesus Christ were called Christians for the very first time in Antioch. The title was generated amongst the people when they saw that their lives mirrored Christ, they became carriers of the mark of Christ, their lives could be likened to the life of Jesus’, so they concluded amongst themselves that these are Christians.
Gal 6:17; From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. One of the benefits to everyone that give their lives to Christ is “SURE PROTECTION “ God is a tower of protection to all who believe him and give their lives to him.
Once we carry the mark of Christ, we become God’s direct responsibility, there is no enchantment against us by the kingdom of darkness or any divination by evil prophet that will affect us, this happened to the children of Israel, king Balak hired prophet Balaam to curse Israel, instead of cursing, he was blessing them. I decree concerning you that every enchantment or divination made against you will not prosper, they will turn to your blessings in Jesus name. There is also no plague, pestilence or pandemic that will come near your dwelling places, this happened to the children of Israel when they were in Egypt, God made their dwelling places Goshen, all the plagues of Egypt did not affect them. You must ensure that you carry the mark of Christ, you will be shielded by the Tower of Protection.
Mark is used as a symbol of reference, it explains itself clearly, you do not need any interpretation. Do people call you a Christian because they see you go to church on Sundays, or carry a bible, or praying? If these are the only reasons they call you Christian, then you are far from it.
A believer must be a carrier of the marks of the Lord Jesus, not merely by what you’re wearing or doing, but by the faith you demonstrate and the fruits you are producing.
According to Romans 12:9-21, a true believer should exhibit genuine love, hate what is evil and always hold fast to what is good. Believers are not slothful in business, they are fervent in the spirit and serve the Lord wholeheartedly. They have hope in the Lord and are patient in tribulation.
A true believer in every situation blesses those who hate him, rejoices with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. A believer does not accumulate wealth for himself alone, but share with others as God blesses him/her. In the account of Acts 4:34-37 the disciples gave themselves to hospitality. A true believer doesn’t pretend or keep quiet when he/she sees wrong.
As we therefore, go about our daily activities and business, we must not be afraid of the enemy, the Psalmist in Psalm 118:6; said “the LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me”? What you need do is endeavour to be carriers of the marks of Christ, shine light into every dark places and as we begin to manifest these marks, unbelievers will come to our rising and surrender their lives to the Lordship of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
I pray for you that no divination, enchantment or pandemic will affect or work against you. The Tower of Protection will shield you from every danger or evil in Jesus name, Amen.
Prayer point: Lord Jesus, please cancel every handwriting of the enemy in my life in Jesus name.
