Memorise: But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this prison. Genesis 40:14
Devotional Reading – Genesis 40;1-14
The word prison could mean different things to different people, but prison generally means when a man is in captivity, put in chains or denied his freedom. There are different types of prison: spiritual, physical, financial, marital, psychological, emotional, etc but in all these prisons which are chains there is a way out, you can have victory over them. I don’t know what kind of prison or chains you’re in right now, but I have a good news for you, victory is coming your way at last in the name of Jesus.
Joseph in Gen. 39 was sold into slavery and eventually landed in a prison, he was there in captivity as it were for two years but Joseph didn’t give up on himself. Whatever you are going through right now, I believe there is something God has placed in your hands or inside of you that is capable of bringing you out of that prison and captivity. For Joseph, the ability to interpret dreams got him out of prison, for David it was the harp in his hand, for Hannah it was her mouth to pray, for Solomon it was his act of giving. Instead of fighting and shouting, why don’t you discover the way out. There are certain things that God will not come down and do for you because He has given you the power to do them and solve the problem. In that your prison, discover the gift of God in you and channel it to the problem.
I watched a Christian movie sometime ago titled “WarRoom” in the movie a woman was having problems with her marriage of 12 years. One day due to the nature of her job as an ‘Estate Realtor’ she met an elderly woman who wanted to put her house for sale, through this elderly woman, she discovered that she has what it takes to bring solutions to the problem in her marriage. She discovered how to study the Bible on her own and pray heartfelt prayers, in no time her husband that had been misbehaving, came home and apologised for all his wrong doings and bad attitudes, the family was strengthened again and re-united. I don’t know what kind of prison or chains you are in but I can tell you that there’s a way out.
Reporting to people, shouting and fighting won’t bring you out, putting blames on people around won’t either. Take responsibility for your life and get out of your prison, break that chain and recieve your victory at last. Just the way God told Abram get out among your kindred. God knew Abram had what it takes to get out, that was why He commanded him to take the step and get out. The same word is coming to you this morning get out of your prison, that chain is broken and you have won your victory at last in Jesus name.
I pray that God will give you the understanding and insight to see the way out of your prison so that you can gain your freedom today and win that victory at last Jesus name.
Prayer point: O Lord, enough is enough, break every chain in my life today and help me have victory at last in Jesus name.
Key Dose: The prison you are living in today is a prison you can be FREE from. BREAK ThE CHAIN AND ENJOY YOUR VICTORY AT LAST!
