Memorize : “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”. Isaiah 40:31

Devotional Reading: James 5:1-6

One of the most common problems in our society today is Impatience, many people are too much in a hurry, impatience is a weakness, we can also find it amongst believers which should not be so. Patience is a virtue that everyone, especially believers should pray to have. Patience is possessing the ability to wait on God regardless. Our memorize of today said “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint” There is an unusual strength that God gives to those who wait on him, majority of the people want quick fix, and that is why they fall prey into the hands of the enemy. Many people have been defrauded by 419 fraudsters because of impatience, many people have fallen into the hands of occult groups because of impatience, some people have become ill and bedridden as consequence of impatience. The danger of impatience is a grave one, impatience is a destroyer, it destroyed the reign of king Saul and eventually led to his death while patience attract supernatural strength like the case of Job, it eventually lead to restoration and multiplication. There are many lives and ministries that God had great plans for them, but due to impatience many lost it, they did not allow the covenant of God to manifest in their lives and ministry, they went ahead of God, they thought in the secret of their hearts that God is too slow, they went in search of quick alternatives which they got, but it led to their destruction. The Scripture says – “What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his soul” Many people have pursued sudden wealth, sudden power, sudden fame, in the process, they made covenant with Satan and sold their souls to the devil, when it was time for them to pay back to Satan, they discovered that they would have been great through genuine means according to the plan of God for their life if only they had been patient, but it was now too late, they had received their wealth from the devil and they had to pay back, we must beware and recognise that the devil never gives anything for free, there must be a pay back. I encourage every reader of this devotional to please wait on God, it pays to be patient. Due to impatience, some people have forced God into allowing them to receive certain things under His permissive will. God has his permissive and perfect timing, we must strive to walk with God’s perfect timing which sometimes takes time, it is a process which may appear slow to some people, but it is the best if we can wait for it.

The Scripture says in Habakkuk 2:3; “For the vision is yet for an appointment time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” There is a time for everything. Life is split into different seasons. There is a time to weep and a time to laugh; there is also a time to mourn and a time to dance (Ecclesiastics 3:4). One lesson here is that every man is expected to go through there seasons in life. In other words, the life and experiences of man are not static. The forces of darkness, together with their human agents, often do what they can to manipulate their victims so that they never experience the good seasons of life, or make them compromise their faith or belief, the devil’s agenda is to frustrate people, especially believers and make them join their satanic camp, thereby denying the faith and disconnect them from Christ. But if you resist the devil and stand firm in Christ Jesus, wait for God’s perfect timing your victory will be sure. I pray for you, your family; business and ministry this morning, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, every evil plot that is geared towards separating you from your good seasons in life, as we look forward to the end of this year 2021 with preparation to cross into the new year 2022, all the plans of the enemy over your life, family, businesses and ministry will fail and come to naught in Jesus name. You will end this year 2021 strong and healthy, you will cross into the new year 2022 better and stronger in Christ than you came into 2021 in the name of Jesus. Patience works, Wait On God!

Lazarus waited on God while he was here on earth.

“But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.” Luke 16:25

If you live without Christ, you will live an eternity separated from God.

Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. While Ecclesiastes 3:11a says He hath made everything beautiful in His time. God’s timing is perfect, don’t try and rush the seasons that have been strategically sequenced by God, wait on God and allow Him work out your breakthrough, you will not miss it in Jesus name.

Beloved, whatever you may be going through, i want you to know that God has not forgotten you, your time of harvest is here and you will not miss it in Jesus name. 2021 is our year of Soaring Higher, in the remaining few days to end this year, you will soar higher in the mighty name of Jesus.

Prayer point: They that wait upon the LORD, shall renew their strength, wait for God’s perfect time, don’t run ahead of God

Key Does: O LORD, renew my strength as I wait on you in Jesus name.
