Memory Verse: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. 2 Cor. 10:3-4
Devotional Reading: 2 Cor. 10:1-7
Yesterday, we looked at two powerful weapons of our warfare, Prayer and Faith. I believe you have started making use of those weapons.
Today, we want to look at another weapon of our warfare which is Holiness. In our world today holiness does not mean anything to many people even some believers. They sometimes say God understands that I am human and in the flesh, I am prone to temptation. Well I will like you to know that Holiness is a weapon of war, it is a defensive weapon as a matter of fact. It is a weapon that the enemy cannot penetrate through. Jesus said in John 14:30 “Hereafter I will not talk much with you, for the prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in me.” In other words if there is no gap in the wall, the Lizard or any form of reptile will not be able to enter. If you are living a life of holiness, and you keep sin far away from your life, the devil cannot penetrate your defense.
Holiness builds a wall of protection around you. The Almighty God said in Job 11:14-20 that if you are living a life of holiness you will lie down in peace, nobody will be able to frighten you. The enemy will not be able to come to you because holiness will form a wall of defense around you. I want to say this that when you lack sin, you will be as bold as a lion. Nothing will get you scared, you will not be afraid of terror by day or night. Boldness can give you victory against the enemy but without holy living, you cannot be bold.
If anyone is going to win the battle that the devil has declared against believers, holiness is key. Devil stays clear of your zone and gives stringent instruction to his cohorts not to dare you when they see holiness in you. Can you imagine the level of Victory you will enjoy just living holy ? Please don’t let anyone tell you that holiness is not obtainable in this generation, by the grace of God, it is possible.
I release upon you the ability to live a holy life all the days of your life in Jesus name.
Prayer point: My heavenly father, help me live holy in Jesus name.
Key Dose: Pray that the Lord will put upon you garment of holiness so that at the end of life, you will see the LORD.
