Devotional Reading: Matthew 6: 7 – 8
Today, i will like to conclude on the topic, “Access to the Throne Room” In our memorize above; Apostle Paul shared with us an insight on how to access the throne room of God in Prayer. He said first be relaxed. “BE anxious for nothing…”until you relax, you cannot get though prayer line. Effective prayer is not in many words, in our devotional reading of today Jesus said; when we pray, we shouldn’t use vain repetition. It is not many words that works but meaningful words, words that are targeted, words that are shot like lazer guided arrows that cannot miss their targets.
Vain repetition and idle words are some of the reasons why many pray for many days without answer. Prayer is not just saying something, it is saying the right thing. Elijah’s prayer in 1 Kings 18:36-37 was short, sharp and straight to the point. The result? Instant miracle, the answer came! This is what God command: “produce your cause saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob” Isaiah 41:21. The bible says He honours his word more than His name. This is to tell us that nothing moves God like His word, He is bound by his word.
So, if you need a job, you can reinforce your request to Him like this: “Lord, your word says, “say to the righteous that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings” Isa. 3:10 also your word says, “no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly” Ps. 84:11. Lord you know I am your son/daughter and I walk upright with you. Your word also says, “I have been young and now I am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Ps. 37:25 Lord I don’t want to beg or borrow, because it is not part of your covenant package for me. Favour me now with a job, I don’t want to be idle as this is not your will for me. Therefore, I thank you for my miracle job, in Jesus name. With this, you are justified before Him and are sure to get a job.
If it is sickness that has attack you, locate the word and remind God of what he said “I am the Lord that healeth thee” Exo. 15:26 God told the church in the wilderness this, He says, “I am the Lord, I change not.” So He is still the healer today as He was in time past. When He sent His Son, Jesus, the Bible says, “Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” Matt. 8:17 Jesus is the same yesterdays, today and forever. Heb.13:8 He was wounded for our transgression, He was bruised for our iniquites, …Isaiah 53:5; God is still doing all the miracles of healing; So, you can say to that diseases or pain, “in the name of Jesus, you have no legal hold over my body, because Jesus has paid for my healing, He took them away through his death, I am healed In Jesus name. James 5:16 says, “…the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” When your prayers are backed up with relevant scriptures, it produces tremendous power. This is another secret to accessing the throne room of God.
