Devotional Reading: Exodus 40:1 – 38

Now the just shall live by faith, if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him Hebrews 10:38. The substance of faith is crucial to the survival of man.

The life of the children of Israel while wandering in the wilderness, was a classic example of what it means to live by faith, they depended totally on God for life and for their survival.

Facing a constant series of unknowns, they were forced to depend on Him. At times, they trusted, but often they complained and murmur, they sometimes worry, and were afraid.

Through it all, they learn to trust God each day. God gave them the pillar of cloud to guide them by day, but would not reveal in advance how long they would stay in each place.

When the cloud settled, they didn’t know if they would be there for days, weeks, or even years. This meant that they continually had to depend on God for provision, but also to remain flexible, and ready to move at any time. They had to live by faith each day always looking up to a dependable God.
He was teaching them lessons that apply to us today.

God continually reminds us that He is always with us, and that He is equal to all our needs. We need “Wisdom to understand the ways of God” Isaiah 33:6.

Some people become easily confused and severely worried when a slight change occur in their lives, worriness cannot bring solution, “Faith in God is the answer “

Are you worried over recent little changes in your circumstances, God is asking you to fear not, that change is temporary, He will help you in Jesus name.

Like the children of Israel, we always need to stay sensitive to God’s leading. Ready to stay or to move when He calls, we must realise that change could come at any time.

The Bible reminds us that God alone knows the future, so, we should trust our future in his hands. We never know what will happen from day to day, but He knows!

We must understand that our lives are just “a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” We need to trust Him every step of the way, every day, James 4:13-15.

May the Lord help you to build your trust in Him.
The just shall live by faith, you must renew your commitment to follow God, obey His Word, seek His guidance and trust Him. Be confident that He knows the future, and He is able to guide you and meet you at every point of your needs.

May the Lord help you build your trust in Him totally, and live by faith in Jesus name.
